We observed that going around the village and capturing images of men and women at work and analysing them critically enabled the girls to understand the value of unpaid labour undertaken by women. This assignment also contributed towards their mobility as having a camera elevated their social status and gave them admission to public spaces that were previously denied to them because of their gender / caste location. Subsequently, in the second phase of the project also, the Prakriye team encouraged the participants to capture images of women and men at work in their villages. The photos captured by the girls along with their rationale for capturing those images are presented below.

#men-and-women-at-work-photos-captured-in-dhwanigalu-phase-twopjc .frs-wrapper .frs-caption {
display:none;
}
#men-and-women-at-work-photos-captured-in-dhwanigalu-phase-twopjc-slideshow .frs-caption h4, #men-and-women-at-work-photos-captured-in-dhwanigalu-phase-twopjc-slideshow .frs-caption-inner h4{
font-size:22px;
margin:0px;
}
#men-and-women-at-work-photos-captured-in-dhwanigalu-phase-twopjc-slideshow .frs-caption p, #men-and-women-at-work-photos-captured-in-dhwanigalu-phase-twopjc-slideshow .frs-caption-inner p{
margin:0px;
font-size:16px;
}
.frs-slideshow-container span.frs-caption {
height: 0px !important;
position: absolute;
}
.frs-caption-content div h1, .frs-caption-content div h2, .frs-caption-content div h3, .frs-caption-content div h4, .frs-caption-content div p {
color: inherit !important;
text-align: inherit !important;
line-height: 1.5;
}
#men-and-women-at-work-photos-captured-in-dhwanigalu-phase-twopjc .frs-wrapper .frs-bullets-wrapper{ display:none !important;
