Meet our Team

Anupama has a graduate degree in Human Development from the University of Mysore, with over fourteen years of experience in programme and project management. She has worked extensively in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, in the areas of micro finance, watershed, water and sanitation, nutrition, livelihood and gender issues.

At IT for Change, Nandini works on research projects in the areas of e-­governance and democracy, women's rights in the digital age and the political economy of ICTs for development. She also supports the field team at Prakriye.She holds a Masters' Degree in Urban and Rural Community Development from the Tata Institute of Social Sciences, Mumbai.

Harish has a Diploma in Rural Development and Bachelors from KSOU, Mysore. He has been associated with Prakriye for the past seven years and monitors the Namma Mahithi Kendras (community tele center), mentoring young infomediaries. He also works on community media programs at Prakriye.

Shreeja has a Masters in Women's Studies from University of Mysore. She works on the Namma Mahiti Kendras and contributes to community media production at Prakriye. She also facilitates community meetings in the field.

Shabareesh has trained in hardware and networking from Jetking. He has completed his BA from the Karnataka State Open University (KSOU). His primarily role involves providing technical support at the community-run telecentres. He also engages in giving technical trainings to sakhis. He is passionate about free software and gets involved in the capacity-building workshops. He also contributes to film-making – editing, camera work, etc.

Somashekara has a Bachelors degree in Education and is pursuing his Masters in Psychology at KSOU, Mysore. He is involved in monitoring Namma Mahithi Kendras and infomediaries. He is also involved in Prarkriye's community media programs.

Tilak is the official driver. He is also a talented cameraperson and contributes to the video component of the activities. He provides administrative assistance to the Prakriye team and takes care of logistics.
